District Records
Alongside his return to performing, Bousie has also reignited his A&R passion as Co-owner of the new imprint District Records, together with long-time friend and industry veteran Peter van Hal, known for influential labels like Deep Records, Focus, DK Records, and Melodic Lab.
Under their joint direction, District Records has quickly gained traction, releasing music from Guy J, Patch Park, Kasey Taylor, Jamie Stevens, Syncom Data, Cortona, and Mike Rish, with strong support from Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Kasey Taylor, David Calo, Quivver, and others.
The label’s remix of Patch Park’s “Don’t Stop” by Guy J even hit #1 on Beatport. With an exciting release schedule District is cementing its reputation as a home for high-quality, forward-thinking progressive and tech house. Together, Nau Nau and District Records represent both legacy and renewal, a celebration of where it all began and where it’s heading next.
Nau Nau
Having relocated to Spain, Maarten rediscovered his deep-rooted passion for electronic music. Reborn as Nau Nau, he now channels decades of experience into a renewed creative vision, blending classic vinyl heritage with modern production and performance technology. His invite-only Club Nau events celebrate the true underground spirit, while two new concepts are set to launch in 2025.
His motto says it best: “Without music, life would be a mistake.”
Dan Sanders - Combined Forces
From being a teacher to managing a hairstyling institute to shaping the global electronic music scene, Maarten’s story is one of passion-driven transformation.
The Leiden born Dutchman’s journey in the music and entertainment industry spans well over two decades now. Joining the promotion department of Combined Forces Records (CFR) in The Hague (NL) was when he first started learning the ropes of the bizz.
The next five years saw him work his way up from the promotion department to the international licensing department.
CFR headquarters also included a studio complex with production studios for a selection of their exclusive artists. This is where he officially first met Sander Kleinenberg, who at that time also happened to be one of his favourite dj’s. At the same time he continued what he loved doing best, dj-ing and organising underground parties (Fun Force, SoundSjop, TOF, Secret Sessions and Tekno-Logix) in the 070-area, under his Dan Sanders alias.
Red Bull
At some point down the road a good friend introduced him to the head of the Red Bull (RB) marketing team in the Netherlands. He took up on the challenge and started writing and designing easy-roll-out and tailor-made entertainment concepts for RB’s prime customers in the Netherlands.
Sander Kleinenberg
Shortly into the new challenge he then got an exciting call from Sander Kleinenberg, who was looking for someone fit to run his newly founded record label Little Mountain Recordings (LMR). He accepted the invite to then become A&R and label manager for Little Mountain Recordings. This rapidly turned into a truly amazing decade of hard but inspiring work, running the label, managing artists, dj-ing and globetrotting.
Touring adventures across the globe included national and international This Is ™ branded events featuring some of Sander’s closest dj friends, like Sasha, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Deep Dish, Damian Lazarus, Pete Tong, James Zabiela, Nick Warren, Jody Wisternoff and Deadmau5, a.o.
From that moment on he had a successful career in the music and entertainment industry. Predominantly as A&R/label manager of Sander Kleinenberg’s LMR and This Is ™ Recordings, next to running and hosting label nights for both brands. His true passion took him to a wide variety of illustrious and inspiring places, venues and countries, which to him felt as a truly unimaginable privilege.
This Is & Little Mountain
As label manager / A&R for Little Mountain Recordings (LMR), This Is Recordings, he orchestrated over 150 releases featuring influential artists like Sander Kleinenberg, Deadmau5, Don Diablo, Eelke Kleijn, Matthew Dekay, Erick E, René Amesz, Patch Park, Steve Porter, David Keno, Paolo Mojo, Funkagenda, Kolombo, Diskjokke, Mark Knight and UMEK.
The legendary Little Mountain Rocks label nights graced prestigious venues, establishing a global footprint in the progressive house scene.

Moods
After taking a step back from both the Progressive scene and the dj-spotlight Maarten teamed up with Rotterdam based creative collective Sober Industries. It was here where he met Bluntspeakers, Pop On Acid and Moods.
Signing Moods to Hello Theo meant the start of a new andinspiring journey. Soon resulting in a record deal with Kraak & Smaak’s ‘BoogieAngst’, and a publishing deal with London based Jalapeño. Their journey included Moods’ first steps as a dj/performer in the European club and festival scene. At the same time Maarten stayed involved in Marketing & Promotion for other talented people, outside the electronic music scene.
Stephen Emmer
2014 Saw the start of his working relationship with Stephen Emmer, one of the leading Dutch media composers and arrangers. The start of a genre defying journey, which started with Marketing & Promotion for Emmer’s new International Blue album.
Projects included collaborating artists like; Midge Ure, Tony Visconti, Glenn Gregory, Michael Dempsey (The Cure), Ursula Rucker, Chaka Khan, Patti Austin and Leon Ware.
His initial role eventually morphed into a position on the creative production side.
BODYWRMR
End of Summer 2018 he teamed up with old time buddy Jeffrey Sutorius (f.k.a. Dash Berlin). The two met back in the days when Maarten was LMR label manager whilst Jeff was the store manager at Midtown Records (The Hague). This resulted in a new position as label manager for BODYWRMR.
Collaborating artists included emerging talents such as HALIENE, Alexander Popov, and Jonathan Mendelsohn. Unfortunately this exciting new adventure ended after appr. 1,5 year of releases due to the global pandemic.
