Born in Haifa, Israel, and now a globally respected name in electronic music, Stereo Underground, aka Yariv Etzion, has followed a remarkable and unconventional path into the underground. Beginning his musical journey as a drummer in the hard rock scene, Yariv’s move to Tel Aviv as a teenager opened the door to electronic music, DJ-ing, and record shop culture. Production soon followed, and by 2009 Stereo Underground was already gaining international recognition, earning early praise from Mixmag and strong DJ support for his hypnotic, otherworldly sound.

Renowned for his versatility and uncompromising quality, Stereo Underground has since established himself as one of the scene’s most distinctive artists. Alongside a relentless touring schedule, he is also a co-founder of BPM College, one of the world’s leading electronic music schools, and the innovative collaboration platform MUZA. His influence extends beyond music production, having become a co-owner of Tel Aviv’s iconic club The Cat & Dog.

Stereo Underground continues to craft emotionally immersive music that blends genres, tempos, and textures into unforgettable sonic journeys, both in the studio and on stage.

His latest release on D:STR:CT Records ‘In Dark Rooms’ hit the global streets on 17 February and so far reached #1 in the Hype Chart and #8 in the overall Progressive chart on Beatport.
